Customizing Your FAQ Page and Widget

Overview

This guide will show you how to customize the appearance of your public FAQ page and the embeddable widget to match your brand. A consistent look and feel can help build trust with your users.

Customizing Your Hosted FAQ Page

Your hosted FAQ page, available at tellfaq.com/faq/yourcompany, can be customized with your branding.

  1. Go to the Widgets page in your dashboard.

  2. Under the Edit Widgets section, you can:

    • Upload Your Brand Logo: Click "Upload Logo" to add your company's logo.

    • Set Your Brand Name: Enter your company's name in the "Brand Name" field.

    • Add Your Website URL: Link to your main website.

    • Include Social Links: Add URLs for your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles.

  3. Click "Save" to apply your changes.

Customizing the Embeddable Widget and

The embeddable widget is also customized when you customize the Hosted FAQ page to fit seamlessly into your website.

  1. On the Widgets page, you'll find the Edit Widgets options.

  2. Under the Edit Widgets section, you can:

    • Upload Your Brand Logo: Click "Upload Logo" to add your company's logo.

    • Set Your Brand Name: Enter your company's name in the "Brand Name" field.

    • Add Your Website URL: Link to your main website.

    • Include Social Links: Add URLs for your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn profiles.

    • Change the Widget Heading: Customize the main title of the widget.

    • Edit the Call to Action: Change the text that prompts users to interact.

    • Show/Hide Attribution: Use the toggle to show or hide the "Powered by TellFAQ" link.

  3. Click "Save" to update your widget settings.

Getting the Embed Code

Once you are happy with your customizations, you can get the code to embed the widget on your website.

  1. Go to the Share & Embed section on the Embed Links page.

  2. Click the copy icon to copy the HTML code to your clipboard.

  3. Paste this code into the HTML of your website where you want the widget to appear.

The embed code will be copied to your clipboard, and you'll see a "Copied!" confirmation message.
